Norah
Rendell

Originally from Vancouver, Norah Rendell has toured extensively as the lead vocalist and flute player of UK/Ireland based band, The Outside Track, for the past two years. Before she moved to Ireland in 2005 to study flute and singing at the Irish Academy of Music and Dance, Norah was an established singer and instrumentalist in Vancouver's vibrant folk scene, with appearances at the Vancouver and Mission Folk Festivals, The Rogue Folk Club, and a live nation-wide broadcast on CBC radio with Canadian roots band, Cleia.

Norah has an MA in Irish traditional music from the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance and a BMus from McGill University. Now based in Minneapolis, Minnesota Norah is a member of
The Doon Céilí Band<> and has recently released an album with guitarist, Brian Miller (Gan Bua, Tommie Cunniffe, The Doon Ceili Band, 5 Mile Chase) called, “Wait There Pretty One”.

Having graduated from McGill University in 2000 with a first class honors BMus in Early Music Performance and Music Education, Norah also performs professionally on the recorder.  She has been featured as a soloist with the Pacific Baroque Orchestra and The Burney Ensemble and has given multiple workshops for Early Music Vancouver and the BC Recorder Society.
